Annual picnic from the school. The spot was one of the best, most adventurous (proof: three students got injured) and craziest amusement parks around here - with brilliant colours strewn all over. Nature contributed generously to enhance the beauty of the day and the place.
You have seen for yourself how colourful the place was.
And our girls… of course, they did thoroughly enjoy every minute of it. Have a look.
What’s missing? Yes, colours!! Now carefully look at the following photo.
Do you spot something strange in the above picture (other than the hidden face)? A faint rainbow over the blacks! Believe me, it happened naturally due to the spray from the fountain.
May be, Nature longed to add some colour to my frame!

And also the sensitivity you display
My kids are going tomorrow for their class picnic. Will not be able to join then, as I cannot travel that distance
Loved the colour, and the nature, you have captured so beautifully!
Sensitivity… yes.
I should not encroach.
Sad that you cannot join your students. They would really miss you.
Thank you for the kind words, Usha.
Those picture are amazing!!
Thank you, Karen.
what a lovely place that is Bindu! So colorful
Yes, we need color in our life, on ourselves.
The best example we can see is the nature itself.
the myriad colors in the fruits, vegs, flowers, the sky, the ocean, the forest, people’s skin …
I can’t help ask why some people make life so dull with black???!!!!
But I guess, it’s individual choices and we need to respect that.
I like your photos. and yes, the water in the sun creates such rainbows. It’s amazing really
Thank you Amira!
Pls don’t misunderstand my pictures and words. I do respect individual choices and it was I who always insist the teenagers should be in their abhayas (my colleagues and students are reading this), because I do respect and strictly follow the rules (expect the same of my teachers and students) of the country I reside in. I am talking only with reference to the colours in the other shots and the absence of colours in the last two frames. The rainbow really surprised me and I just included a sequence of pictures to drive at it.
Nice that you mentioned that point, I could clarify it.
I’d agree…. especially in such a colorful place, all that black clothing needed a magical touch of color…
BTW, how did three people get hurt?
Thank you, eof737…
They got minor injuries during ice skating, bumper car rides etc.
Here comes a special colorful award for you.

What a lovely place Bindu! I just love all the bright colors and the sunshine. We’ve had temps in the single digits these past few days, so I’m craving the warmth.
Nancy
Here the weather is cool and fine. In the desert we call it winter. I can’t think of being in freezing temperatures. Don’t worry, spring can’t be far behind
Love the colors Bindu! Great captures of memorable moments.

Quite a collection of pictures. And so colourful. My favourite is probably the kids in the merry-go-around under the big flowers. Almost surreal and bizarre. Great work!
Thank you, munchow, for the visit and the generous comment. Such a comment from an experienced photographer like you is truly an honour.
No McDonalds? No pools of sick from queasy people coming off the rollercoaster? No discarded drinks bottles?
I don’t believe any of this true, it was all created in photoshop.
Thank you Michael, for the visit and for the wonderful comment! I too am in doubt now – are these real ones?? Can there be such a place on earth??
So colorful! Nice shots.
Glad to know you liked them. Thank you
I love this post for all the unstated, tacit reasons!
Thank you, FF!
